In this project i have shown the features and functionalities of a smart blind stick which can be used by people who are visually impaired and have trouble.

Our proposed project first uses ultrasonic sensors to detect obstacles ahead using ultrasonic waves.
This arduino smart blind stick project requires two separate circuits.
After msp430 powered the blind people can start using the smart blind stick.
The blind stick is integrated with ultrasonic sensor along with light and water sensing.
One is the main circuit which will be mounted on the blind man s stick.
But with smart blind stick it will help them to get notification on the obstacle by a sound generated by buzzer.
The other is a small remote rf transmitter circuit which will be used to locate the main circuit.
This project is a smart stick which is capable of detecting any obstacle detect water and corners and even allow the user to find the stick if anyhow missed by the user by pressing a remote switch.
Through this the blind person can aware about the obstacles in front of him.
The smart blind stick automatically detects the obstacle in front of the person and give him a response to the person by vibrating the stick and also with a warning sound.

On sensing obstacles the sensor passes this data to the microcontroller.
The other is a small remote rf transmitter circuit which will be used to locate the main circuit.
Blind s mate is a combination of smart stick and a mobile app that can alert people of impending obstacles and water pits while providing audio feed to the users about obstacles encountered.
Using this smart blind stick a visually impaired person can walk without anyone s help.

Based on the observation on the traditional white cane the blind people will always swing around the blind stick to get a confirmation on their surrounding.
